RIPP (10) did a great job to win at Menangle in his first outing for 17 months, pushing forward to lead before scoring by 5.3m. Tricky draw but he should be improved. DEUS EX (8) has been tackling good opposition of late and came from this barrier when placed three back. CALLING BUDDY (3) draws better than when resuming and put together a string of wins here last campaign so looks an improver.
